lockble memory increasing

I listen about, if i like increase my memory an this will be lockable do i have increase the swap space.

any doby know where can get a doc, about this..?

The rule of thumb is you add RAM, add swap space. Swap space should be 2/1.5 * RAM.
Once you add RAM, you need to add more swap space, tune maxswapchunks to refect that.

You can add secondary swap for this purpose.

And you have hugh RAM, like say 24GB and you do not swap, then you need not have swap space that high. You can do away with 20 GB of swap space and turning on pseud_swap.

i know that rule of tumb, but my bos like see a HP doc. whith that.

You can use the HP docs I posted above there is also a section on lockable memory.
