Re: lpsched not responding

lpshut.

start as lpsched -v

Check for log file.(/var/adm/lp/log)

Also check if sched creates LOCK file in /var/spool/lp directory.

Post the results.

Re: lpsched not responding

If the problem keeps persisting you should probably look into the lastest patch for 'lp'

PHCO_27132 for HPUX 11
PHCO_28259 for HPUX 11i

Re: lpsched not responding

Hi,

Look at /var/adm/lp/*.log files. You should get information from there.

If you are using jetadmin, then you can run diagnostics from the jetadmin -> diagnostics menu.

Look at the permissions of
/etc/lp/interface/model.orig. It should be set to lp:bin with 755.

Re: lpsched not responding

First do a lpshut to stop the scheduler.

Then do a ps -ef|grep lpsched

Just check any other lpsched processes are running.
Do a kill -11
else do a

kill -9

Then rm the files FIFO,SCHEDLOCK from /var/spool/lp

It is using too much CPU because of two copies are running(might be)

Restart lpsched.
Also check the latest patches for lp as suggested above
