I have a new rp4440 HP-UX 11.11 with
JetDirect hppi and have been adding networked
printers and up til now have been printing OK.
Now lpsched will not come up.
There is no SCEDLOCK or FIFO in /var/spoo/lp.
/var/adm/lp/log shows "can't open request directoy request/printer.
I am unable to delete the /request/printer using hppi.
lpsched "scheduler is running" followed by
lpstat -r "schedulier is not running.
short of restoring /var/spool/lp from backup
what can I do to get lpsched back up?
Thanks, btw this is my first forum post after
having browsed forum entries occationally.

Re: lpsched not starting
Hi,
Other way to restore any previous working-fine spool configuration is:
Make periodically in SAM/Printers and Ploters/LP Spooler/Save-RestoreSpooler Configuration/Action/Save Spooler Configuration
When you need restore this configuration just select Restore Spooler Configuration in same path showed above.
Rgds.
