lpstat causes garbled character
When I run the lpstat command, the last line that apears is -12345X@PJL enter language=PCL
Os is HP-UX 11.11. I had been removing/adding some printers but not sure where my problem started. After running lpstat the prompt is garbled and does not do correct.

Re: lpstat causes garbled character
Located in /usr/bin
lpstat -p shows up OK
lpstat t does the same thing.
The last line returned is
-12345X@PJL enter language=pcl
then I'm basically done, I have to close session and reconnect.

Re: lpstat causes garbled character
Compare the size of lp command. Compare it to the lp on some other system, where it is working fine.
Up to date on lp patches??
When you lpstat, what is the last printer that it reports. Is that printer correctly configured?? Check this printer through SAM, if required delete and add it back.
You may want to do lpstat on each printer and find out, if any of those report this error/garbled error.
