LUN Expantion, HP-UX, VXVM
Due to some space issues, I have increased the size of the LUN from 15GB to 25GB on CV EVA, on the HP-UX side, i have executed "ioscan" and "vxdisk scandisks" . But no luck, still VxVM is seeing that disk as 15GB size only.
I rebooted HP-UX, still VxVM sees that disk with 15GB size only.
Anyone throw some light on this ?

Re: LUN Expantion, HP-UX, VXVM
Check weather you assign the new lun on the same port,
also run,
ioscan -fn disk
insf | wc -l [ with this command you will be able to check weather new assign lun are detection on your system ]
Thanks,
Avinash

Re: LUN Expantion, HP-UX, VXVM
I assigned only one LUN to that box.
I increased the size of that LUN on CV EVA.
That increased size is not reflected on the HP-UX->VXVM.

Re: LUN Expantion, HP-UX, VXVM
This feature is called Dynamic LUN Expansion - DLE.
first check if you have the following patch
PHCO_35524 for HP-UX 11i v2
#swlist -l product | grep PHCO_35524
if not, installed and you have to run vgmodify command.
read the manual in this link will be more than enough for you.
