Re: lvextend: Not enough free physical extents available.

So lvremove and re-create it (no distribution, not striped).

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: lvextend: Not enough free physical extents available.

This is the host or at least a physical system with hardware mirrored disks.

You have only 10 PEs free - this limits you in extending any LVOL.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: lvextend: Not enough free physical extents available.

I do not have Online JFS...

May be I will have to go into single user mode and do it

Re: lvextend: Not enough free physical extents available.

Problem is you need to "shrink/reduce" the filesystem before you reduce the LVOL.

How large is /tmp ?

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: lvextend: Not enough free physical extents available.

torsten..

/tmp is very large.. So can i go to single user mode and do lvreduce on /tmp and then lvextend on /home
Torsten.

Re: lvextend: Not enough free physical extents available.

IMHO most of your LVOLs are much too large.

You may do an ignite recovery and adjust all sizes when re-installing back.

But you can also consider to delete /tmp in single user mode and recreate it with less size.

DON'T use lvreduce without reducing the filesystem first!

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
