lvextend on ServiceGuard filesystem

I successfully ran lvextend and then fsadm on a JFS filesystem that is part of a ServiceGuard volume group. Do I need to export/import a map of that vg to the other node in the cluster?

Re: lvextend on ServiceGuard filesystem

I don't "believe" so. vgexport/vgimport sets up the disk into /etc/lvmtab.

Although...it is not a bad habit to get into (just in case the last guy forgot to do it when they added those extra disks...).

Just a thought,

Re: lvextend on ServiceGuard filesystem

Stuart,

As you are only extending the volume, you don't have to export/import it afterwards. The size/layout of the volume are held within the VG itself and are not part of the information exported
