lvmtab erased

Hi guys, the /etc/lvmtab is erased, and i cant use vgscan to rebuild it, it says
# vgscan
"/etc/lvmtab" could not be read into memory.
What should be done.

do the vgscan -a

This will scan controllers.

Can add the -v switch as well, more verbose messages.

Assuming you have no problems everything will be rebuilt properly.

Just do a vgscan -a. You seem to be one of those guys who is his own worst enemy. You could probably benefit from attending an HP-UX class. This is not meant to be an insult but rather a helpful suggestion. It's also much better to blow someone else's box to pieces rather than your own and classes are very good for that.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
