mac address changed by ignite restore?
we used ignite to transfer a 10.20 system to another host. After running both machines in parallel we noticed some strange things happening during data transfer. We assume that ignite set the mac address of the other host. Is that correct and is that a bug or a feature? ;-)
I stumbled into it, because the switch, both hosts were attached to, was complaining about port flipping.
Thanks for any insight.

Could it be someone is ARP spoofing in your LAN segment? ;-)

Check that the MAC address is not being set in netconf.

Re: mac address changed by ignite restore?
thanks for the post, it is in there.
We are editing the file because sam refuses to change the address.
Is there a behavior change between 10.20 and 11. I have heard that with 11 it should work correctly.
Thanks for your time,
Michael
