machine has gone very slow

Admin
I have hp workstations model-9000/735/99, installed hp-ux 10.20 being used for design and modeling of vehicle part.

When I am telneting to this machine or try to open new window than it takes lot of time to get through. Below is the error message from syslog.log file.

Re: machine has gone very slow

Hi Sudhir,

It sounds as if it might be a disk problem.
The example from the syslog file shows September - has it been a problem since then?

If it is a disk problem then I think the only solution would be to replace the disk. I suggest calling a hardware engineer.

Re: machine has gone very slow

hi,
it seems that particular disk is not responding .
shutdown the system and reconnect that disk.
you can see that particular disk's status led
will be glowing continously.
