mailx problem

We use mailx to send emails of out unix from some programs we wrote. They go out of our exchange server(2000). They work when they go to my yahoo account. We have a test machine that uses the same exchange server and we are able to send mail out of that machine using mailx. RP7410 HPUX 11i

Sorry, it's working if it goes to yahoo but its not working if it going to my exchange machine . But it works on the test machine that also goes thru exchange

Anything in your /var/adm/syslog/mail.log that indcates whats happening?

Does the mail eventually get bounced back?

It sounds as if you Exchange server needs to be set up to allow e-mail from your production machine to be relayed through it.

Hi Jeff,
Check /var/adm/syslog/mail.log
Check the error messages.Most probably it is failing the authentication with exchange server.
