Re: make_net_recovery

Can you post the logs for the net_recovery command? What you mentioned is just the last message there must be some other information before that one.

If a file is removed during Ignite backup, you may receive the similar message. To know exactly what was happened, you have to read through whole logs.

Re: make_net_recovery

The error message isn't complete. There are other messages preceeding the pax error relating to the file(s) or directory with a problem.

Re: make_net_recovery

Saad.
Did you remove new hard disks recently ?

resolv.conf
The resolver is a set of routines in the C library that provide access to the Internet Domain Name System.

Are you using this? do a man on resolv.conf to get more info

Re: make_net_recovery

The resolv.conf file is needed only when you are using a DNS server to supply hostnames for IP addresses. Without this file, all hostnames must be stored in /etc/hosts.

In your listing:

>pax: cdrom : Is a directory
> pax: cdrom : An unexpected end-of-file has occurred.

There is something wrong with this directory. Remove the directory and recreate it.
