SolutionDo you have any error message that indicate the make_recovery not working ?
Need your help to give us the information about the error message and please attach also the file (get the latest one, check the timestamp) :
/var/opt/ignite/logs/makrec.logxx
On new version of Ignite/UX, the make_recovery command has been replace by make_tape_recovery. See the man page of make_tape_recovery for more details :
# man make_tape_recovery

As Adisuria mentioned make_recovery is replaced with make_tape_recovery hp-ux11i
i always use "make_tape_recovery -Av"
and up to now i have never seen an error

make_recovery = obsolete.
make_tape_recovery = supported, requires good LVM structure before completing a good backup.
Please provide the error text.
