make_recovery

Hi,
Could I perform the make_recovery command while my applications are running?

make_tape_recovery is generally used to backup root (vg00). If your application doesn't run on vg00, you can run at any time.

Hi,
The general recommendation is to shut down applications before creating a recovery archive but if you are sure that no open application files is located on vg00 it is possible to use "make_recovery" with applications running.

Yes you can perform the make_recovery command while running the applications . Since it's taking the backup of VG00 volume group .

make_recovery command is replaced by make_tape_recovery in latest Ignite-UX versions

Please ensure it for the newest ignite version
