Matching product codes to model number

we are trying to inventory remote systems. an example I have is a K210 box. we show two different product codes in the inventory A3224A and A3282A.

Without looking at the front of the box, is there a command to match the system to the product code?

Or is there a list on the HP site where I can look?

Thanks,

Re: Matching product codes to model number

You can try HP Partsurfer:
http://partsurfer.hp.com

Product name = 9000 Server - K210
HP model number(s) = A3224A, A3281A, A3281AR, A3282A, A3282AR

Apparently the K210 can be either model number. I'm not sure what the difference is.

Re: Matching product codes to model number

There were different part numbers for units with different memory configurations.
For example the A3281A was a K210 that came with 64MB of memory included in that part number. The A3282A had 128MB of memory. There were also different part numbers for configuration sold via distributors, that allowed them to do some mix and match of components. Since the part number is pure marketing and configuration, I'm afraid you have to look at the inside of the front door to tell for sure.

Thanks for the great replies. Now we just have to find someone with some free cycles to go look.
