mc serviceguard and netapp metro cluster

Hello to all,

another little question: is mc serviceguard supported on a netapp metrocluster storage system?

Thanks, Alfons

Re: mc serviceguard and netapp metro cluster

HP-UX 3rd party storage support listed here:

http://www.hp.com/products1/serverconnectivity/mass_storage_devices.html#NetAppsFC

So although plenty of NetApp arrays are mentioned, there's no mention of NetApp Metrocluster, which makes me think, not supported by HP. Of course, NetApp may qualify and support something themselves - that would probably be on their own interoperability matrices (link at the bottom of this web page - apparently requires a login):

http://www.netapp.com/uk/technology/interop.html

Note I am assuming you are referring to the "NetApp Metrocluster" product:

http://www.netapp.com/uk/products/protection-software/metrocluster.html

And not the "HP Serviceguard Metrocluster" Product (which definitely doesn't support NetApp):

Re: mc serviceguard and netapp metro cluster

Hello Duncan,

actually I mean both.

For the unix environment we use the hpux MC Serviceguard.

We store all our data together with the Windows data on a EVA

Our management want as Netapp Metrocluster, expecially for the Windows data.

I just want to make sure we still get support for the MCSG.

Thanks, Alfons
