Hello,
I'll need to know if is possibile to configure heartbeat in order to use a SAN instead of the LAN.
I know that with AIX/HACMP is possible to configure a special SAN disk as "heartbeat disk".
thanks in advance
kind regards
Davide

Solution
There was a thread on this general topic.
Conclusions:
1) A san can not be a heartbeat network
2) There is no such thing as a heartbeat disk
3) A san disk can be a cluster lock disk

Re: MC/Serviceguard SAN heartbeat
No, I don't believe so.
If you are very concerned about the network going out and losing heartbeat, use a crossover cable across another NIC in each node, or with more than two nodes use a hub/private network configuration.
