Well I can't just post any of my completed scripts - as I'm a consultant they all belong to the companies I do work for - but if you tell me a little more about your application, I'm sure we can get there... is your database an oracle database? if so this is going to make things very straightforward...

Hi Duncan,
My application is an Ingres database. I am trying to implement the clusters feature in it.

I have seperate scripts written for start, stop and monitor of the database.
