Merging MC ServiceGuard clusters
We have two systems, each running MC ServiceGuard with several packages. I need to configure these two one-node clusters as one two-node cluster. The systems are connected to a common SAN, and and are on the same network subnet.
I've looked in all of the documentation in the ITRC and in Docs, but no luck.

Re: Merging MC ServiceGuard clusters
Hi,
I've gone the other way before, splitting a three node cluster into a pair of two node clusters. I would suggest nuking your individual clusters and rebuilding a new cluster from scratch. It will be much easier that way. MC/SG keeps a lot of information about the environment in the cluster binary file, and when you go changing things around very much it will get confused. I've found it is much easier to get the nodes setup just like you want them and then build a new cluster from scratch.
You can keep your package config and control files and add the packages back to the new cluster pretty quickly and easily.

Re: Merging MC ServiceGuard clusters
Hi,
It will not be difficult.
Basically you will need to make a new cluster. Delete the old clusters and create a new cluster using node1 and node2. You can use the same package configuration and control scripts. package configuration needs modifications as you are going to add the failover node.
Following document details ServiceGuard.

You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try
