Mess with /usr/lbin/tsconvert.

Hi guys,

Created a mess when working with tsconvert. I have a NIS server and have amanda backup running on that server.
I ran the command :
/usr/lbin/tsconvert.
It stooped all my access to NIS files and changed the permissions of a lot of system directories as well. To correct this, I ran:
/usr/lbin/tsconvert -r.
Now the /usr/lbin/getprpw command shows that the system is not secured. But the NIS was not working. So when I checked, the entries in my /etc/passwd file had changed. I modified them and now the NIS is working. But...the change in permissions for system directories and files is creating some problem.
Can some body help out as how to return the system to original status, after running /usr/lbin/tsconvert.

As far as I know you can't have NIS on a "trusted system"... you would need to use NIS+ then.

I would suggest using SAM. It seems to do better cleanup after revert.

Go into SAM -> Security and Auditing -> Auditing (from memory - I can't get access to an PHUX machine right now) and try and find in the drop down menu a revert. You may need to re-convert your system first though.
