mib2agt memory leak?

Does anyone know of a problem with a memory leak in the mib2agt? I have a couple machines where the mib2agt is taking an extraordinary amount of memory... (Like 250MB on 1 machine.)

Thanks

Re: mib2agt memory leak?

Hi John,

what patches do you have installed. There was an issue of memory leak (HP Doc 1653302323 )when the patch PHSS_17386 was installed. This was fixed in PHSS_18758. The latest patch for this is PHSS_23670

Re: mib2agt memory leak?

I have seen many sites running SNMP though they never use it. Unless you are using an Network Management server like Openview IT/O or NNM, or sending SNMP traps you can disable it. If you are using it, you can install the patch PHSS_23670 to get rid of this memory leak problem.
