Solution
please try once the command
#insf -e -C disk
and see the O/p of the #ioscan -kfnNCdisk
The EFI,HPUX and HPSP ptns have already been created .
#ioscan -kfnNCdisk must show u the device files that u r wishing for, they have already been created but the option -N of iosacn shalll shpow this for u.
u can check that persistent DSFs have got created using the command as
#lssf /dev/disk/disk5_p1
#lssf /dev/disk/disk5_p2
#lssf /dev/disk/disk5_p3
also u can do
#ll /dev/disk/disk5_p1
#ll /dev/disk/disk5_p1
#ll /dev/disk/disk5_p1
the Persistent DSFs have been created but the ioscan -fnNCdisk that is -N option shall show u the persistent DSFs.

Re: mirror root drive idisk
Hi Jerry,
u can also refer to the manpage of the ioscan command there are lot many added option as of 11iv3.
More than that -N option for Persistent DSFs has been added to the commands like vgexport and vgimport also and vgscan etc also
