MIRROR UX for RAW DEVICES

Can I use mirror disk UX for mirroring informix raw devices ?

Hi,

Sorry no, mirroring is done on lvm level not on disk level.

Yes of course. The mirroring done is done at the logical volume level. Don't forget that the software is not free and must be paid for.
Anyone for a Mutiny ?

Hi,
yes, as previouslymentioned, you can use it.

But informix has buil in function for mirroring the critical device, like the ROOTDBS.

This raw device should not be double mirrored, but let informix do the mirroring.

You may check if this ability is also offered for the other dbs.

swap can be mirroed as can any other raw device crated by lvm
