Hello,
It would be appreciated if someone helps me with this:
Our K260 comes with a 16 port Mux, but I am thinking about using a modem pad for telneting to telepone PBS system. I have tried to call HP for the availability of modem pad, but seems to get nowhere.
My questions are:
1) do people use modem pad nowadays? What is another way to communicate with PBS in case I need Kermit to transfer data in between?
2) does Mux help in this way though?
Thanks a lot!
Steven

Hi,
Yes we are using modem pads for our fax server.
It is connected to E55 machine running a fax server package VSI-FAX.
We didn't have any problems till the date in using it effectively ...
you can also onnect to PBX to dial but I do not know what softwares you need to load for that.
Thanks,
-Piyush.
