Modem Setup on an L2000

Hoping someone can help point me in the right direction.

We have a customer who has an J3593A and a J2485A setup. Multiplexer interface board w/ a 16 port DB25/RS-232 MUX.

On their older K580 system they have it hooked up via a modem. They are wanting to do the same thing on their L2000 now. However they do not know how to go about setting up the modem on the L2000 running HP-UX 11i

As I mainly deal with hardware the setup of this is beyond me. If anyone knows of a site that has directions on how to setup a modem, or a guide of any sorts I would greatly appreciate the help.
