Hi all,

I want to monitor nfs mounts on our server.
Is there a tool which I can use.

I want that within a specific time it is allowed to use nfs mounts on the client. But after that ,e.g. business hours are over, I want to get a message who is using which nfs mount any longer.

Does anyone have an idea? I looked on the syslog, but there is no information when then nfs filesystem was mounted. so...hmmmm

I think you may have to write a script and set it up in cron. You would need to check bdf output to determine if there were any nfs mounts, then use fuser or lsof to determine who was using them. There may be some more elegant way but that's all I can come up with.

I have been so similar problem with you a few days ago, at that time, I used cron job during some day for gathering some nfs data on nfs_server.

# crontab -e

10,20,30,40,50 * * * * /usr/bin/nfsstat -s > /perf_logs


above example is so simple and can have many data or information from your server.
