Hi,

my dvdrom Device driver not seen after restarting the server

also ioscan command not detected the cdrom device driver.

You should update to the USB2.0 driver anyway ...

rx2660, rx3600, rx6600?

However, check if the drive still opens (has power), check cable. Maybe the drive is broken?

Hi,

Sorry for mismatch Spelling Type.

Yes this is rx3600 server.by the way

all the cables are connected on DVD ROM.

I insert a DVD and Eject a DVD properly and DVD ROM power also good condition.

Only server not dected a DVDROM and Driver.Please see the trai mail.

Kindly suggest me what is a actual problem and how can i solve the problem.

If it would be a driver problem, you should see the drive at least as UNKNOWN. So I assume it is a problem of the hardware, either the drive or the controller. I would test another drive first.

The USB controller is trying to identify all the devices on the USB bus, but this process fails, probably because there is a device on the bus that fails to identify itself properly.

It is possible that the USB communication components of the DVD drive have failed, so that the drive can power up and eject a disk successfully, but the drive fails to communicate with the rest of the system.

If you shutdown the server, disconnect the DVD drive and restart, does the message go away?

Dear Experts.

I was replaced the DVDrom on my server and again install usb USB00DW2.depot but

still problem.

So,

if you have any advice please suggest me.

If the drive is ok, you may have a problem with the cable or the unified core I/O card.
