mount dvd

When I mount the dvdrom (in SAM) to /tmp-mnt/dvd and do a

/tmp-mnt/dvd>ll

I always get file names that contain ";" regardles of the cdrom e.g.:

which breaks any command that you want to execute. How do I solve this?
I thought that I was because I had thought.

Re: mount dvd

I think those files might actually be on your DVD, not specifically related to the mount process.

Try escaping the filename. i.e.

cat INSTALL.\;1

or using quotes

cat "INSTALL.;1"

Re: mount dvd

Run the following command to learn about the DVD device file:
# bdf /tmp_mnt/dvd
Then, unmount it manually:
# cd /
# umount /tmp_mnt/dvd
Finally, mount it again manually:
# mount -F cdfs -o cdcase /dev/dsk/cxtydz /tmp_mnt/dev

where /dev/dsk/cxtydz is the one listed by the bdf command
