I'm receiving error message when doing an fsck that sanity check failed: cannot stat /dev/vgxx/lvxx. What does this mean?

Re: mounting file systems
Why are you posting multiple questions for the same problem.
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=559949
Either the filesystem /vg does not exist / or the vg is not active. Does vgdisplay -v lists the details on the vg to which this filesystem suppsoedly belongs. IS the filesystem listed there as available.
Hope this helps. And post only one question and for one problem. It saves times for everyone.
