I've ran the /sbin/init.d/lp stop to stop and then restart lpsched but the multip lpsched processes start up again.
Here's ps output for the lp user:

Recommendations to get it down to only one lpsched process running?
Thanks in advance...

Solution# /sbin/init.d/lp stop
Now,
# ps -ef | grep lp
Look for any remaining lpsched or other lp processes and kill them. The lpsched processes I see on your system are from August 12, so they are leftover from a couple of weeks ago. Once you kill those, restart lp and see what happens.

Re: Multiple lpsched processes
After this, a normal lpsched should leave with with exactly one lpsched process running.
