I just wanted to know the meaning of the names HP uses for its pathches.
Are they random or do they have specific meaning.
All the types of patches I know are :
PHKL*
PHSS*
PHCO*
PHNE*
what do these names mean?
Thanks,
Raghu.

Re: Naming Convention for HP Patches.
PHKL - Kernel Subsystem O/S patches
PHSS - O/S Subsystem patches
PHCO - O/S Command patches
PHNE - Networking patches.
Traditionally if you apply any PHKL patch it will always ask you for a reboot.
Thanks and Good luck.
FG.
