I am new to HP-UX can pls help me wat kind of prepration is required to take certification exam.

Yes, do day to day systems administration on the OS for two years.

Then take the exam.

If you take and pass the exam without practical experience, it will have no value to most potential employers.

To be blunt if you just pass the exam I would not even let you touch one of my systems much less employ you.
