We have LVM 1 version currently. We are facing issues because of the default number of PEs. We are planning to upgrade to LVM 2. I am not aware of the method to be adopted. Kindly tell me the steps which are involved in the upgradation.

Version 2.0 volume groups are not recognized on on operating systems before HPUX 11iv3 March 2008.Version 2.1 volume groups are not supported on HPUX 11iv3 before september 2008 release. Version 2.2 not supported on HPUX 11iv3 before March 2010.

Few of my servers are running on 11iv2. Is there anyway I can upgrade that to LVM 2? Will it support?

It is not possible to use LVMv2 on HPUX11iv2 as per HP documentation!.
