nettladm
Hi all,
When SAP is started on our HP-UX Servers the following error is displayed in nettladm:
( tcp_rput_other: case T_ERROR_ACK, ERROR_prim == 1).
Does anyone know what is causing this T_BIND_REQ to an IP for a particular address binding?
Thanks
Joe

Re: nettladm
i suppose this is a 11.x machine , i know following message :
***********************************STREAMS/UX*******************************@#%
Timestamp : Thu Jul 26 EAT 2001 11:10:57.188708
Process ID : 5926 Subsystem : STREAMS
User ID ( UID ) : 101 Log Class : ERROR
Device ID : 0 Path ID : 0
Connection ID : 0 Log Instance : 0
Location : 00123
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1616 11:10:57 68806535 1 T.. 5321 446 tcp_rput_other: case T_ERROR_ACK,
ERROR_prim == 1
appaears sometimes , this message is an informative message that has been suppressed in the latest xport patch
Its means for this particular message that the user tried to bind to an IP address that did not exist on this system. The users application should note this when the bind() is done.
PHNE_26771 is the latest ARPA patch it contains the previous PHNE_23456 XPORT GR patch which should suppress the message
hope this helps
