Network problem in HP-UX 11.00

Dear All:

I have a HP L2000 server runs HP-UX 11.00. My firewall always logs L2000 sending lots of icmp packets. When I use firewall blocking icmp packets. This L2000 server can be connected from other computer outside this subnet using ssh,but other servers in the same switch(subnet) do not have this problem. What more strange is I can use the server in the subnet which L2000 located to connect L2000. How can I solve this problem?

HP-UX sends icmp packets to verify that it has networking.

The ndd command can be used to turn it off.
