Hi,
i'm trying to print to one of the hp network printer. but my print outs getting staples. how should i restrict this.thanks

Hi Navin,

If I am not wrong, Staple setting is there in your printer. You can check the printer manual and change the settings. What is the model of your printer HP 9000N or someother.
You change the setting by giving ip address of printer in your explorer and change.

Many settings in HP printers can be changed from the front panel and this is VERY undesirable because it affects all jobs. Use the cold-reset procedure outlined in the printer's manual to return all settings back to normal. Then instruct users NOT to change the settings but instead, use the options in the lp command or in their PC to select staples, duplex, and so on...

Thanks so much . Is there any option to lp command to enable or diable staple feature.I do not see one so far i checked.

Kind of depends. There is a staple option for the following (at least) LJ4000,5000,8000,8100 and Mopier320, if they are using the correct model script.
