Re: New HP Implementation Plan
(1) what OS are you currently running
(2) what OS do you plan on going to?
(3) What would the server be used for, ie web server, database server, application server, ...?
(4) Will this server be in a DMZ or within a trusted network?
(5) How many users, processes, io activity, ...?
(6) Do you have a matrix of hpux support by application, including databases?

Re: New HP Implementation Plan
1. Our Current OS on K-Class is HP-UX 10.20
2. New Server will be 11
3. This will be a database server running Oracle 8i.
4. Only direct HP users will be Admin/Developer, most of the other users will be database application users.
5. Server will be our replacement server, it will be connected on LAN.

Re: New HP Implementation Plan
Why are you changing the server?
Do you have performance problems on the K class?
If so What?

Re: New HP Implementation Plan
I think the biggest problem you'll find will be importing the database from the new server, as HPUX 11.00 has a different version of JFS...
I think you do right changing server (you'll save much boot up time) ;-)
Regards.
