First off, thanks to those whom answered my last question, you saved me TONS of time!!!
Ok... here is the scoop...
I have some network cards, and I can configure them. That seems to go ok. But, how do I specify a gateway and a DNS server? (Please note that I can only use a terminal session to get to this box, as there is no video card.)
Also, I know that one of the drivers is bad. Assuming I can get the correct driver, is there a certain process I need to know to install it?
Thanks a bunch for looking...

Solution
You can specify the gateway in the file /etc/rc.config.d/netconf, listing it as the default route.
List your DNS servers in the file /etc/resolv.conf
As to the driver, have you checked to see if it's in the kernel? Go into SAM -> Kernel Configuration -> Drivers and see if the driver's "Current State" is listed as "In" or "Out". If it's listed as out, highlight it on the list, go to the "Actions" menu, select "Add Driver to Kernel". Then you need to return to the "Actions" menu and select "Create a New Kernel". A reboot will be required. If your driver is not listed at all, then you will need to install the software.
Godd Luck!

Re: Newbie would like some more help... this time with network settings
Jimmy is correct but I should also mention that the name service switch settings should also be made. This defines the order in which the method of host name resolution is done.
There are 3 methods and any of these may be done in any order if the services are configured. 1) DNS 2)NIS (which as a newbie you are probably not using) 3) /etc/hosts.
From SAM: Networking & Communication -> Name Service Switch.

If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: Newbie would like some more help... this time with network settings
Sam is your best friend in most cases and has been getting better over the years.
Get into the network card admin screen and you can add the default gateway.
In Sam, go to network and comm, go to internet addresses, go to actions -> add or modify default gateway.
