next HP release of openssh

The current release by HP's Secure shell is: OpenSSH_3.6.1p2

I was told that the next version to be released fixes a bug with lastb and was currently in beta...

does anyone know about when this next release will officially be released or where I can go to check on the status?

That release is an HP port. HP has backed me up when I said this:

The bug that resulted in 3.7 of openssh has been fixed in the second HP Port.

Berlene Herren confirmed this last time it came up.

HP generally does not give target dates on releases. As frustrating as this is, it avoids the disappointment of missed dates.

I feel for you, I'm having problems with openssh on my education box and I'm hoping a new release will help, but you don't need it for the bug fix. The bug is already smushed.
