NFS on TCP

Could anybody tell me if NFS on TCP is available on HPUX. Is this is supported officially from HP?

Re: NFS on TCP

In my knowledge NFS Version 3 support TCP.

HP UX support for NFS 3 so HP UX support NFS over TCP.

Re: NFS on TCP

In which revision of HP-UX are you interested? I believe the "best" place to have NFS over TCP on HP-UX would be one of the 11i's. Might be there on 11.0, but I don't think it was there on 10.20.

I suspect that docs.hp.com may have more.

Re: NFS on TCP

NFS over TCP was not available on 10.X. It is available on 11.0 but it's not default. and it is the default on 11.i.

Re: NFS on TCP

NFSv3 gave you the option to configure the NFS services as UDP or TCP.

The later releases of NFS3 are TCP by default.

Re: NFS on TCP

11.00 does have NFS/TCP support (we use it in-house). As stated above, it is not the default.

To enable it, change NFS_TCP=0 to NFS_TCP=1 in /etc/rc.config.d/nfsconf.

Re: NFS on TCP

Yes it is available! Tune your nfsconf file to activate it.
