Re: NFS Problem.
Here is your requirement,
---------------- /etc/exports on server ---------------/sapmnt/T20/exe -anon=65534,root=detap1:detap2
/sapmnt/T20/global -anon=65534,root=detap1:detap2:detdb1
/sapmnt/T20/profile -anon=65534,root=detap1:detap2:detdb1
/usr/sap/trans -anon=65534,root=detdevl:detap1:detap2
---- /etc/fstab on client that were trouble ---------/dev/vg00/lvol3 / vxfs delaylog 0 1
/dev/vg00/lvol1 /stand hfs defaults 0 1
/dev/vg00/lvol4 ... swap pri=0 0 0
.
.
.
detdb1:/usr/sap/trans /usr/sap/trans nfs rw,suid 0 0
On NFS client please focus file system "/usr/sap/trans"
Thank you very much,
Worapoj P.

Re: NFS Problem.
Try unexporting(exportfs -uv) and exporting(export -av) or try exportfs with one of the "-o" options manually.

Re: NFS Problem.
BTW the daemon preocesses nfsd and rpc.mountd already running on NFS server , biod also running on NFS client. Right now I cannot unexport NFS file system and remount for client because both machines are production machines.
Any solution please suggest me,
Worapoj P.

Re: NFS Problem.
Really, looking at your mount options, there are a few things that you could try.
Your client mount options are currently rw,suid. Try making the read and write smaller. This helps, especially with large directories, and loads of stuff in them. I.E
mount server/dir -o rw,suid,wsize=2048,rsize=2048
Remember that the smaller buffer size will make smaller packets. This not only helps your system, but can improver overall network performance a bit, as large packet re-transmits take more time.
Another note is on the server, what number of nfsd's are you running, and how many clients accessing how many directories. A heavy server should have at least 16 nfsd's running, and the default is 4. This too can greatly improve performance.
The last note is have you sniffed the network connection from that seat?
There have been many times where networking works for me, for the most part, but certain performance problems persist. Simply changine the cable or jack may fix alot of problems.
Good luck!
