nickel script not availble

It seems nickel script is not available in my hp-ux server. I am running hp-ux 11i v3 on a rx2660 server.

Please let me know where I can download nickel script.?

hi,

Nickel is a tool used by HPRC for trouble shooting.

Its will not be there in OS.

I dont knw if it s available for public download.

Hi Shehan,

I guess it is present in /opt/contrib/bin, but if it is not there, you can download it from (not latest):
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/catia/Utils/nickel.shar

Else, you can also use cfg2html in case you are only looking system information (better than nickel I feel).

nickel will not run very well on 11.31, and especially not on Itanium boxes. It hasn't been updated for more than 9 years and will display a number of errors due to incompatible code (ie, adb -k). The (much better) tool to use is cfg2html.
