I built a nis server in HP-UX 10.20
I use ypinit to create /var/yp with a domain name
I want to add new map ( like auto_home ) in my config. so I modify the script /var/yp/ypmake.
I modify also /var/yp/Makefile
I create /etc/auto_home
I create /etc/auto_master
When I use ypmake to propagate maps I don't see my new map in /var/yp/domain name
I verify if my modifs are corrects in ypmake
Where is Makefile used ?
What I do to verify if maps corect ?
Thanks for answers ,

Re: nis map
Hi Bossuyt,
This is not regular map so you might have to use name like auto_home.byname
Mostly you go to /var/yp and run
#make mapname (this will use Makefile)
But If you want to use ypmake then
#ypmake DIR=/etc DOM=nis-domain-name NOPUSH=1 mapname
(NOPUSH=1 will not try to push this map in to slave servers)
Check /var/yp/doaminame directory for map.
