no cluster attributes

Hi,
In our clusternodes on /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log we've seen
on both nodes the message:

cmclconfd[13510]: Volume group /dev/vg00 has no cluster
attributes

Can a neglect this message and if so,
how can i suppress this so it won't show
up in the log anymore ??
Can anybody help me?

Regards,
Ceesjan

Re: no cluster attributes

You need to ensure that your cluster and package config files do not include any details about vg00. You cannot add vg00 as a cluster aware volume group as it cannot be shared between two nodes.

Re: no cluster attributes

You didn't add vg00 to the cluster ascii file did you?

Or maybe a disk that was once in the cluster is now part of vg00?

strings /etc/lvmtab

look at disks in vg00, make sure they are note in the cluster.ascii file - if yes, then you need to re-config/re-apply your cluster.asscii.

Re: no cluster attributes

The disks of vg00 nor the string 'vg00' itself is mentioned in cmclconfig.ascii.
Therefor i don't understand CM to look for vg00 at all...
Disks in the cluster is svg01
If i add a vg02, but outside the cluster, will the cluster see this one as well?
It shouldn't.. should it?

Re: no cluster attributes

I'm seeing it as well on several of my A.11.16 clusters. I believe it is an informational message new to A.11.16. Disregard it, since one would not expect vg00 to have cluster attributes.

I reported your concern to the manufacturing division by way of a change request (JAGaf50708).
