no login in ftp

the password is ok

Can be a shell issue. change user shell to /usr/bin/sh from /bin/sh.

Hi Jairo,

check /etc/ftpd/ftpusers file and make sure the user name does not exist in that file. Any username in that file will be denied ftp access.

Are you using ftpaccess to restrict ftp logins.

Is the user excluded in /etc/ftpd/ftpusers file?
Is the IP address excluded /var/adm/inetd.sec?
