Re: No o/p for the IOSCAN command

Hi,
did you use any options for ioscan .. Can you
try for example "ioscan -fnC disk " or "ioscan -fnkC disk" ?!? Do you have any problems with kernel ?!?! It might be some problem with kernel ( missing drivers etc )..

Re: No o/p for the IOSCAN command

Hi Mohan,

You need to pay attention to the full error message given by sam (log file is at /var/sam/log/samlog). Try to identify which ioscan being use by system:
# which ioscan

If the output is not /usr/sbin/ioscan, then you might want to fix that. Run what command to the ioscan path, you should get more than 1 liner.

eg:
# what /usr/sbin/ioscan
/usr/sbin/ioscan:
$Revision: 80.5 $
CUPROS_IC22 //1
/ux/core/libs/libc/archive_pa1/libc.a_ID
Oct 1 1997 04:05:51

if not, you might need to get the correct ioscan binary.

I would also suggest you to log a call with Response Center to get a faster help 8)

Really hope this help.

Hi Mohan,

Does dmesg indicate any h/w type problems?
