Iam trying to copy some large files (1 GB) from my desktop (Windows XP) to one of my HPUX server. Iam getting this error "Can't build data connection: Connection timed out"
# uname -a
HP-UX HAZUXIA7 B.11.31 U ia64 3723915920 unlimited-user license
What could be the reason??

Re: Not able to ftp large files.... getting error "Can't build data connection: Connection timed out"
This page describes some issues that you might have with ftp yours as well.
You could try to change to passive mode or use scp (winscp for windows).

Re: Not able to ftp large files.... getting error "Can't build data connection: Connection timed out"
Any firewall or other security product installed on your PC?
This would be the most likely reason.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
