Not able to understand swapinfo -a o/p

Hello Friends,

It is a SD 32-Way m/c running 11.11. When i give swapinfo -a o/p comes as shown below:

Kb Kb Kb PCT START/ Kb
TYPE AVAIL USED FREE USED LIMIT RESERVE PRI NAME
dev 9224192 0 9224192 0% 0 - 1 /dev/vg00.bha/lvol2
dev 8192000 0 8192000 0% 0 - 1 /dev/vg00.bha/lvol9
reserve - 4518780 -4518780

Problem is it is pointing to /dev/vg00.bha/lvol2 whereis ther is no VG by name vg00.bha can anyone let me know what could be the problem.

Re: Not able to understand swapinfo -a o/p

Hi Bhavin,

Did you have a vg00.bha at any point of time after the system was rebooted?.

What errors do you see if you run 'vgdisplay -v ' or 'lvlnboot -v' commands?.

No, there was no vg by name vg00.bha. O/p of vgdisplay -v & lvlnboot -v doesnot give any error.

Re: Not able to understand swapinfo -a o/p

Is there a /dev/vg00.bha dir ? If yes what are output for these commands :
ls -l /dev/vg00/group
ls -l /dev/vg00.bha/group

Hi,

Can you send the output of

lvdisplay -v /dev/vg00.bha/lvol2 or lvol9

command.

Re: Not able to understand swapinfo -a o/p

Here is your problem !
You have 2 VGs with the same minor number (0x000000). This number should be unique.
Normally, if you really don't need this vg00.bha vg, removing /dev/vg00.bha should be OK. But take a backup first.
