Re: NTP v4

lokesh,

At the moment the current OS still up to 3.5, an enhancement request has submitted to support NTP v4, there is no update on this for time being.

Re: NTP v4

Have you checked the swinstall log and swagentd.log? Perhaps there was a problem with the istall? Were there any special instructions for the install?

Re: NTP v4

And where did you find NTP on software.hp.com? I searched and searched without finding it.

Re: NTP v4

Unless your install of version 4 actually overwrote the HP-supplied 3.5 bits, the system startup scripts will still start the 3.5 bits not the 4.0 bits. You might look in /usr/local/bin to see if that is where the 4.0 bits got stashed. At that point you have to decide if you want to then manually overwrite the 3.5 bits, or deconfigure the HP-supplied 3.5 bits (/etc/rc.config.d/) and do your own boot time startup scripting for the 4.0 bits.

I suspect that unless it was an actual "patch" you got from the ITRC that it will not have overwritten the 3.5 bits...
