Hi,
After applying the fbackup cumulative patches (PHCO_19732) from the June 2000 extension software, I'm getting the following error while doing backup with the fbackup command,
"/usr/lib/dld.sl: Unresolved symbol: acl (code) from fbackup"
Can someone please shed me light on what I missed? note that there wasn't any abnormal messsage by the time I install the above patch.
Thanks in advance.
~Philip

Re: Odd behaviour after applying fbackup cum patch PHCO_19732
you are running the [PHCO_19732/PACHRDME/English] fbackup patch.
This patch enables ACL, and has dependencies, one of which is the libc patch
[PHCO_19491/PACHRDME/English] , is it installed ?
current version = 22314 NB there are also other dependancies !

Solution
Hi Philip,
Are you sure you applied the dependent patches?
PHCO_19491 -> suberseeded by PHCO_22314
PHKL_17458 -> superseeded by PHKL_18543
PHKL_19991 -> superseeded by PHKL_22677
The first one (PHCO_22314) addresses some runtime symbol resolution issues.
Best regards,
Dan

Re: Odd behaviour after applying fbackup cum patch PHCO_19732
I would definetely take care of this dependency issue asap.
You will probably see problems right now if you try to generate a new kernel.
So before doing other changes to the system, grab the dependensy patches and reinstall the fbackup patch (or take the newer fbackup patch as mentioned anbove).
